Musalia settles for Kioni as running mate

By Caleb Mutua
The Amani coalition presidential candidate Musalia Mudavadi finally unveiled his running mate yesterday.
Former Ndaragwa MP Jeremiah Kioni was picked to Mr Musalia’s assistant presidential hopeful after a thorough search.
The Amani Coalition leader said that his running mate brings rich knowledge in solving economic puzzles that have seen the gap between the rich and the poor continue to wider every day.
“I have consulted extensively in selecting a running mate, I was looking for a soul-mate for the Amani coalition and Kenyans. I refused to apportion the running mate post to politics of the day-ethnicity,” said Mr Mudavadi.
Early this month, the Amani coalition endorsed Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi as their presidential flag-bearer at a delegates’ conference
“I will offer sober, realistic and pragmatic leadership; My DNA does not have the virus to threaten, to revenge or to discriminate against any Kenyan. I have the will and the determination to create a collective and consultative government that represents all Kenyans,” he said during his endorsement.
