We can win CAF cup, Logarusic

Gor Mahia coach Zdravko Logarusic has backed his team to win the CAF Confederations Cup. The Croatian spoke after the arrival of the team from Seychelles where they thrashed Anse Reunion 5-0.
Logarusic stated that he was never in doubt that his boys were going to win the match. “I was always sure that we were going to win the match. This shows how much the boys have gelled,” Logarusic side.
Gor are the only East Africa to taste continental glory having won the Africa Cup Winners Cup in 1987.  The Croatian believes that the current squad has the pedigree of the 1987-squad hence can all the way in the competition. “We have great players who can help us get to the title. It feels good to reach the second round after almost 23 years,” he stated.
Paul Kiongera was the star of the show as he scored within 55 seconds of the game to open the floodgates. He later scored his second of the match as Chris Wekesa, Kevin Omondi and Edwin Lavatsa each added a goal to the score sheet.
The side now awaits a monumental showdown against ENNPI of Egypt on March 16 in Cairo, Egypt.
