Kidero, I’m not shot or kidnapped

By Nairobi Digest reporter
Contrary to rumours that the newly elected Nairobi Governor had been abducted and shot, Dr Evans Kidero is safe and sound.
Rumours that Dr Kidero was missing went viral on Social media last Saturday but the governor elect tweeted and updated his Facebook fun page, assuring Kenyans that he was okay.
“Please disregard any rumor that you might have heard about my safety, l would like to tell you all that I am safe and sound; in fact this morning attended church service at Karura Chapel with friends and family, he said, wishing his supports a blessed Sunday and a great week ahead.
The former Mumias Sugar company boss, who was vying on a Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) ticket, won the Nairobi gubernatorial seat in the March 4 elections, beating The National Alliance (TNA) opponent Mr Ferdinand  Waititu.
The governor elect has reiterated his commitment to the people of Nairobi in his manifesto. Job creation and business enterprise development are also in his priority.
“Increased infrastructure investments are vital to the economic growth. Better infrastructure…better living standards,” reads part of the vision.
