I won the election, Raila

By Nairobi Digest Reporter
Prime Minister Raila Odinga has declared himself the winner of the March 4 vote
The Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) flagbearer said he beat president elect Uhuru Kenyatta with over one million votes.
Speaking to his supporters in Changamwe, Mr Odinga said: “In 2007 I won the General Election with 60,000 votes but the victory was robbed from us. This time round, we have said no, never again.”
He urged Mr Kenyatta to concede defeat because Kenyans cannot be ruled by force and that Uhuru was still a young man.
Kenyans queued in long lines, braving the hot sun to cast their vote in the just concluded historic March 4 General Elections that ushered a devolved government for the first time in Kenya’s history.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) announced Mr Uhuru Kenyatta of Jubilee coalition as the winner with more than six million votes.
After the winner was announced, Prime Minister Raila Odinga disputed the results citing massive election irregularities.
This comes barely two days after the Cord legal team presented their petition in the Supreme Court challenging Mr Uhuru’s victory.
“We won the election. I know in my inner heart that I am the winner. Even our opponents know in their inner hearts that they lost,” he said promising Kenyans that his team will expose some shocking revelations.
